Since 1991, the Rector's Dinner has been held each year in Rome at the North American College’s Janiculum Hill campus to support our mission and further enhance the formational experience of our seminarians and priests. This festive event is attended by a diverse group of participants including alumni, esteemed guests from the United States, dignitaries from the Diplomatic Corps, the Vatican Curia, the Italian nobility, and prominent members of the American and European business worlds.
Since the noble apostolate of priestly formation is a ministry that requires the support and encouragement of many, this event gives us the opportunity to gather as one community to celebrate this mission and promote its cause.
This year, the Dinner will be held on Thursday, April 30th. On this special occasion, during which we will also celebrate our College’s 150th anniversary, we will have the privilege of presenting the Rector’s Award to His Eminence Justin Cardinal Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, and the Honorable R. James Nicholson, former Ambassador of the United States to the Holy See, and Mrs. Suzanne Nicholson, for their outstanding service to the Church and extraordinary support of the mission of the North American College.

In conjunction with this event, the College will publish the Rector’s Album, an elegant commemorative booklet that will offer you the opportunity to send congratulatory greetings to our honorees. The Album is distributed to all the Dinner’s participants as well as to many other benefactors and friends of the College.
